Dangerous Goods Regulations Courses (DGR)

Eligibility: 10+2

DGCA CBTA DGR

Bird Academy is approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to conduct DGR training under the Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) framework at its Delhi centre. Approved for training aviation professionals across ten functions — including flight crew, cabin crew, cargo handlers, ground staff, and utility operators — Bird Academy has been a DGCA-approved DGR training centre since 2008, training more than 2,000 aviation professionals annually.

Dangerous Goods Regulations Training Programmes Certified by DGCA  (Initial & Recurrent) under the Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) framework

Eligibility:

Minimum qualification: 10+2 (excluding Utility Hand personnel)

Training is organised per function, covering personnel responsible for:

  • Preparing dangerous goods consignments for transport
  • Processing or accepting dangerous goods consignments
  • Cargo warehouse handling, ULD loading/unloading, and aircraft cargo compartment operations
  • Passenger and crew baggage acceptance, aircraft boarding management, and direct passenger contact
  • Aircraft loading planning
  • Flight crew and cabin crew
  • Screening of passengers, crew, baggage, cargo, and mail
  • Utility hands, operators, drivers, and cleaners

IATA CBTA DGR

Bird Academy is a CBTA Provider Centre of IATA, certified to deliver DGR training aligned with IATA’s Section 1.5 standards. The programme covers airline personnel, freight forwarders, ground handlers, and shippers delivering performance-based, role-specific training in compliance with ICAO’s global mandate effective January 2023.
